  • Do you Euthanize Animals?

    An animal is only euthanized due to extreme measures, for example, where an animal sick and it has been medically recommended.

  • Will you come and get this animal in my neighborhood?

    We are not able come pick up animals for several reasons. Please see what to do if you find a stray animal above. We do offer rentals of cat traps and cat kennels for a $50 deposit - deposit will be returned to you upon the return of the trap or kennel. Contact us.

  • Why don't you seize animals experiencing cruelty?

    After the Animal Protection Act was passed in 2013 the SPCA was no longer allowed to seize animals. Now, to report animal cruelty you must call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers, who then contact us when they conduct their investigation.

  • I sent in a Pre-Adoption Application a while ago, why is it taking so long?

    Our staff reviews all our applications thoroughly and this takes time! Applications are reviewed after the animals are taken care off as they are our first priority. Thank you for your patience.

  • Why do you charge adoption fees?

    Our adoption fees partially cover the initial care your new furry friend needs. This includes a spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations, dewormer and any other medical treatment they require. Normally this could cost anywhere between $500 to $1000 dollars; whereas our adoption fees range from $200 to $400.
